VOLTA MINORITY CAUCUS SHARE THEIR DISPLEASURE ON MILITARY PRESENCE IN KETU-SOUTH

The Volta Regional Minority Caucus in Parliament stormed Ketu- South today over the military presence in the municipality with a strong view that they are here to intimidate the residents for the up coming voters registration.
Present were Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, Mr.Totobi Kwakye, And some of the MPs lead by Okudzeto k and Fiifi Kwetey, some National, Regional down to the Constituency Executives with a strong signals to the Ruling Government to withdraw the Military from the area with immediate effect. Hon. Fiifi Kwetey who gave the press statement saying no amount of intimidation would stop eligible residents from registering for the upcoming elections and with one accord they call on the residents to come out in their numbers to register this few days ahead.
The conference took place at the Verdi Pharmacy at Aflao and from there to Torgbui Amenya Fiiti the 5th’s palace where also Torgbui held his briefing with the press and also called on the Government to withdraw the military he also made an instant of an 18yrs old young Lady by name Agbolosu Afi Pelagie who schooled inside Togo Kodzoviakope and was beaten up by a military man when she attempted going back to school this morning at Segbe Wudoaba border.
According to the young Lady she stays in Togo for her school but her people live at Denu and she just came for foodstuffs and was going back but was stopped from going back by the security after many explanations.
A visit was made to the main border and the points where the military were.
There they spoke to the military involved in the incident with the young lady and later came to The Tokor police station to lodge the complain.
